“ Warm and cozy coffee shop. We visited on a sunny Sunday afternoon and appreciated seating at a table outside. Their latte was exquisite and I enjoyed their oat & Reese cookie. Their Nanaimo bar wasn't the traditional recipe as it had more of a coconut flavor but it wasn't bad. ”
“ I happened to be walking past this lovely coffee shop and couldn't resist popping in. Without wanting anything in particular I followed the call to enter and I am SO glad I did. I was welcomed by the warmest staff (Patrick in particular) and an airy, comfortable atmosphere. I ended up ordering a local craft cider and a grilled cheese panini. Both delicious! Their menu offers something for everyone. I highly recommend visiting OVC any time you're in the Almonte area! ”
“ What a great little gem, I wouldn't say it was a hidden gem since it was busy. Love the decor, it has some real personality. As a family with dietary restrictions, it was great to see they had some treats that were safe to eat (gluten free and vegan). The brownie had just the right amount of chocolate fudge and sweetness. The nanaimo bar has the right layer ratios and sweetness. The turtles bar was just delicious. The iced cappucino, mocha, and hot chocolate (oat milk) were very creamy and not overly sweet, a nice contrast to some shops which are over the top with the sugar content. The chai latte was perfect with not too much foam. The service was great. Quick, attentive (always a concern when you have dietary restrictions), and polite. This is a must visit the next time we are in Almonte. *Dec 8 update Grabbed some more baked goodies. I love the change of treats to match the season. ”
“ Favourite place to get coffee in Almonte!! Their holiday drink menu is fantastic, especially their gingerbread and peppermint coffees. Their baked goods always taste fresh, I highly suggest their lemon squares. Prices are great They sell ADORABLE hats, little booties, and clothing with their brand that look absolutely darling, and the prices for their merch are pretty good. The atmosphere is fantastic, always nice music and a great charming environment to catch up with friends and family. ”
“ Stumbled on this gem while in Almonte on Vacation. Would move to Almonte for this cafe alone. The coffee, lemonade, and americano’s were all incredible and the pastries were equally good. The inside gives off cool and comfortable coffee shop vibes that aren’t found in conglomerate cafes or coffee shops. The barista was friendly, knowledgeable, and appreciative. And they hand made great drinks using a manual expresso machine! ”

“ We popped into OVC randomly for the first time hoping to use the washroom. The cashier was super nice and said I was welcome to use the washroom even if I hadn’t bought anything. Super kind, no pressure, just genuinely friendly welcoming energy. That kind of attitude and service makes all the difference. I did buy a dirty chai and it was freaking delicious! ”
